Fun Mail

Don't you just love fun mail? New magazines, catalogs, results of button-pushing...
I kept looking at this quilt.

In this book
Ever since the book came out. I just love the quilt. Don't know why. It reminds me of sea glass. Which reminds me of the ocean. Which reminds me of not being stuck in the ATL all summer. Which is where I'll be this summer. So while I was browsing some of my favorite sites...I found a kit for the quilt at Lake St. Mercantile, one of my favorite quilt shops in Michigan. A button here, a button there, and a package came in the mail.

Nicely packaged with backing and binding and the fabrics labeled. A thank you and a cute little freebie block. Three cheers for fun mail!

Oh, that is pretty. You're right, it's just like sea glass.

I love that quilt too...I saw it on the Temecula Quilt Company blog done in Colonial Christmas fabric by Judie Rothermel and was instantly in love...pushed the buttons and it arrived. I have it all cut out. I started cutting with the ruler and the 60 degree line and decided that was too much trouble so I took my 40% off coupon to Joann's and got the Fons & Porter ruler to cut diamonds...very slick and made the process so much quicker. Can't wait to sew it.

Just letting you know, ever since I saw this post and this book, I've been considering it. "Do I need this?" Hmmm... :) Because I think it wants to be my friend.
