Make a Block, Eat a Cookie

How's that for a great way to spend a Thursday night?
Here's my Saturday Sampler block for April. This month's block has really sweet shirting designed by Little Quilts.
I made cookies when I got home from my day job "just because". They are Snickerdoodles from Martha Stewart's book Cookies. I haven't made Snickerdoodles in years and they are just as fun to say and just as good to eat as I remember. I had these warm from the oven with a glass of milk. A good thing!

What a pretty block. And I love that word - snickerdoodles - another blogger sent me the recipe for them once, as I've never heard of them before here in the UK, but I've not been able to make them because of my gluten intolerance. Never mind, I shall just enjoy saying the word.

Snickerdoodles are my favorite cookie. Have you ever tried Snickerdoodle flavored coffee? Love the block too.

I've never even heard of snickerdoodles! I'm not going to go look them up. I'm not!

I think I would have made a dozen quilt blocks so I could have a cookie between each one!
