I was greatly dismayed to see Google is killing off Google Reader in July. How am I ever going to keep up with the gazillion blogs I follow?!??!!?! And like many blog readers, I'm searching around for a good replacement. Still doing research but for right now, I'm checking out Bloglovin' and claimed my blog there. i don't even know what Google Reader is, so i got nuttin for you - i use my blog list (which leads me to the blog lists on my list of blogs - repeat repeat repeat) and that kills enough hours for me - ha ha ha!
I'm rather confused why everyone is switching. You can still view your blogs in your dashboard at Blogger.com (where my blog list is); Reader takes your dashboard and just makes it more succinct. So instead of a short paragraph on your dashboard, it's more like a one liner in reader. I like the little paragraph of a few lines to read because then I can decide if I want to read more and then go to the blog. What am I missing?
This news was a total disruption in my life! I've switched over to Netvibes for now and suppose I will get used to it. I had an iPad app, River of News, based on Google Reader that was a gem but now that will go away too. Hope someone can develop a similar dedicated iPad app soon!
I've switched to reading in Bloglovin. It's okay, just getting used to a new format is a pain for me. I liked the way reader worked.
