News from February 2nd

Forget the stork.

This time the groundhog delivered the baby (as well as the weather prognostication).

Groundhog photo from Wikipedia

My nephew Cameron was born very early in the morning on February 2nd.  I was so happy to get the call before I left for Starbucks that everyone was fine and healthy.

Welcome to the world Cameron!  Your aunt has great plans for spoiling you too!

I love being an aunt.

Can't wait to meet Cameron in real life in March.  And take lots and lots of photos.

You have to believe me when I tell you he is a little cutie (much cuter than a groundhog).  Until then I did get to Skype with the happy family.

Tomorrow is my day off and a staying-in-pjs-and-sewing-day.  Hooray!

CONGRATULATIONS Auntie Gretchen!!! I can't wait to see pictures of the brand new little guy. Also had to tell you that my sewing uniform is PJ's too, LOL. I them extremely uncomfortable to sleep in, so it's a Tee shirt or tank top for me, but I have 4 pairs of flannel pj's that are just for sewing in. Nothing more comfy. I would love to have a couple of cute pairs with quilty things on them, but I've never seen any, so my favorites are my pair with cats and the other with dogs, LOL. Guess what??? I cut the last of the 911 pcs for my Desert Sunset quilt and plan to start piecing it tomorrow. It was so nice, cutting out all those gorgeous batiks while I listened to an audio book and the I got the first block laid out on my little design board and ready to start. The cutting didn't take very long, probably a total of about 6-7 hours, but I had to spread it over several days. Enjoyed every minute of it, but now the really fun part begins. Well, I've certainly rambled along, haven't I...for some reason I was thinking this was an email (senior moment here, LOL), sorry about that. Big hugs and again, congrats on the new little nephew.

Really? Cuter than groundhog? Are you sure? I shall reserve judgement until pix are published. Congratulations and best wishes to your family on this wonderful new addition.
