Making Progress

Well I am making progress on my Mardi Gras quilt (aka Bonnie Hunter's Orange Crush mystery quilt from last year). I finished the blocks and am ready to start sewing the rows together.

Here are some of the album blocks. I wish there was more contrast between the center black squares and the purple squares but they are all done and are staying done. There is no way I am ripping all that out! I think it's going to be a very busy quilt but I am happy that it is all from stash.
Here is Morpheus in his zen kitty pose. He is very comfy on a big pile of pillows and quilts.

I like the colors you have chosen, subtle shading. Looking forward to seeing them in the full quilt. Bonnie really likes little pieces, doesn't she?

Oh, your Mardi Gras blocks look nice, what a good name. I'm afraid my Mystery is looking rather odd, so that project is stalled. I have a black kitty who also sits very zen like yours.

I love the colours you have chosen, even if the contrast doesn't show up much. I agree about the business though, I nearly didn't finish mine because of that, but compromised and made it as a bed runner instead. I think I'm coming round to it, but I'm still not 100% certain.

I love the Mardi Gras colors and I think you will too when it is all together. Please bring it on Saturday. I am working on the blocks for Double Delight. I think I like it better than Orange Crush. Henry liked looking at the pix of Morph too!

I think you will see a neat secondary design once it is together, I like it! Kitty looks so cute in his Zen like pose. I love it when my cats do that. So innocent looking!

I like the slight contrast in your block. I think when it's all together, it will be just subtle enough to make it interesting! Your kitty looks very relaxed and in the "zone." :)

Love your colors! Mardi Gras colors are perfect for this quilt. Your shading will look great in the final quilt. I agree with Karin, Bring it on Saturday so we can admire it.
