The electricity goes out and since you don't have a treadle sewing machine...
You cut out two quilts by candlelight.
Quilt #1: The UFO challenge for April.
The score is currently UFOs 3 Me Nil
Wonder if I'll get on the scoreboard this month???
Quilt #2: Schnibble using the most fabulous Central Park fabric by Kate Spain.
I'm seriously considering a treadle machine now....
NOTE: I obeyed all safety practices and did not leave candles, fabric, rotary cutter, pins, matches, etc. unattended. Be safe, quilt safe, cats stay safe.

I am humbled by your dedication! We had the same storms come through my part of South Carolina but fortunately we kept our power and didn't lose any big trees.
that candelabra looks kinda spooky with the rotary cutter sitting under it - Gretchen Cutterhands!
i BOW to your dedicatedness (red squiggle lines - yes, i DO know that isn't a word)
p.s. word verification is sicarmol - the kind of tree Zacchaeus climbed - ha ha ha!
That's awesome! I'm very impressed with your resourcefulness. I would have curled up under a quilt and called it a night! :P
While this atmosphere you should prepare Antique Quilts. ;D
hope your freezer not defrosted during this time...
Kat ;)
LOL....I'm impressed your determination AND your candelabrum....that thing looks like something out of a movie!
Peaceful and pretty!
My first thought was, "Yikes! Keep the fabric and yourself away from the flames!". Sorry, I'm a mom of two boys. I can't control it. Glad you safely got something done despite the lack of electricity. During hurricane season, I like to have a quilt to bind in case of a power outage. It's all about being prepared for trouble! Great job!
Pure dedication! When are you sewing this weekend? Hope to see you!
That is some how so elegant looking to be sewing by the light of a candelabra!
You are one dedicated quilter.
