Goodnight Sweet Prince

 

My dearest Morpheus, for 17 years you were my most faithful and loving companion.  You were my most loyal friend and were always there for me in good times and bad.  Your unconditional love for me was the most precious thing in my life.  I feel very lost without you.  I named you after the Greek god of dreams on that rainy night in October when we rescued each other and since then you have always slept by my side or on my pillow watching over me. I will forever hold you in my heart.  You were and are the most wonderful, handsome, meowy-est, special cat ever.  My soul hurts.

    If anyone comes in here, he will find me crying because someone I have never met has lost a beautiful cat that I also never met. I am so very, very sad for you, dear Gretchen

    Oh, Gretchen, that is so sad. I'm glad he had such a good home with you. It's just a miracle that you found him, same with Rembrandt. When they keep you company like that and have such good personalities, it really hurts to lose them.

    What a handsome fellow he was.
    I feel your sorrow. I had a garden
    cat just like him that allowed me to share his life His name was Dew.
    Like the Dew in the south on the grass. He just walked into my life
    from no where. It was meant to be.
    He choose me.

    Oh, Gretchen, I'm so sad for your loss. Having two sweet black kitties of my own and having lost many a furry friend in the past, I can well understand your grief. I have been out of touch with blogland the past couple weeks and I'm sorry I just now offering my condolences. I just read about Morpheus today and feel like I knew him from your many posts.
