I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stitchery. I bought this as a block of the month through Homestead Hearth last year. I heart Homestead Hearth. This BOM came with different background fabric for each month, muslin backing, and Valdani variegated 6-ply thread in different shades of black. Block 2 is started already. It's so much fun!
Good job finishing block 1! Embroidery is fun, isn't it! So many patterns, so little time. :)
